Peter Jahnke pjahnke@piquearchitecture.com
Based in Seattle, Peter co-founded PIQUE in 2000 as a testing ground to explore new ideas and technologies and reinterpret existing notions through competitions and small gem projects. As PIQUE grows, Jahnke continually makes sure there is at least one competition in the works and is passionate about infusing the energy, rigor and ideas of these competitions into our commissioned work. Jahnke has a Masters in Architecture from Montana State University and has traveled extensively. He has worked in New York as project designer for the Bitforms Digital Gallery at Archi-tectonics with Winka Dubbeldam, in Paris, France at Berg & Berg Architects and has over five years experience with various architecture offices in the Northwest. Keith Ballantyne kballantyne@piquearchitecture.com
Keith currently lives in Musselburgh, a small historic fishing village outside Edinburgh, Scotland. He is currently working on a research degree at the University of Edinburgh and acting as Course Organizer for the first-year design course there. Ballantyne’s interests lie in a search for significance - what qualities (in architecture) excite the public consciousness? Ballantyne co-founded PIQUE because we corporately believe that architecture is only significant when it aspires to achieve significance beyond the realms of fashion or trend and this is an ideal vehicle for pursuing and testing our ideas.
